Our Mission Is Ensuring Black Women Continue To Thrive.

Black Girl Vitamins was created to improve the well-being of Black women everywhere – providing us with accessible, affordable, and effective essential vitamin and mineral supplements that combat chronic deficiencies and correct cosmetic concerns.

When Black Women Are Healthy the ripple effect on families, societies, and future generations is profound.

While most over-the-counter women’s vitamins follow FDA guidelines, these guidelines often fail to consider our unique health and dietary needs, including nutritional deficiencies.

As women of color, we often lack essential vitamins such as magnesium, calcium, iron, folic acid, – and specifically for Black women – vitamin D because our pigmentation reduces its production in the skin. Vitamin D protects against chronic conditions such as heart disease, Type 2 Diabetes, and certain cancers. It’s also linked to conditions such as depression, high blood pressure, colon, breast, and prostate cancer, and obesity.

Unwavering Commitment to Our Culture.

Our company is our culture. By carefully curating a collection of ingredients, we strive to create superior supplements that are tailored to and for us.

Understanding Why and the Aha Moments.

Struggling to understand why her lab work showed vitamin deficiencies in certain areas despite eating and being healthy, she was taken aback. It made little sense. Not to mention this odd habit of craving ice cubes even when it's cold outside.

After digging around and chatting with some Black female doctors, she learned many Black women experience this habit due to similar vitamin deficiencies, and that ever more Black women experience a multitude of complex health obstacles do to a lack of essential vitamins and minerals.

This realization fueled her vision for Black women’s health and birthed Black Girl Vitamins. On the cusp of the company’s two-year anniversary, it has a strong reputation as a trusted and reliable source of high-quality supplements for Black women by a Black woman.
